Dear Stephen:

Thank you for asking.

In my research I focus on the international component of the online communities and would like to investigate how global, culturally/geographically diverse and democratic can be museums' online communities built around collections or cultural content. Furthermore, I am looking to understand how engaged are international participants in those communities and if social media can really provide an instrumental means to target them.

But actually, me and my colleague will do a joint project together on the digital collections of the Hermitage museum. I think its more related to what you are doing. BTW tell me more about your own work? also are you taking part in the following conference: http://www.eva-conferences.com/eva_london/2011/call_for_proposals ?

Thanks! I was focusing on virtual cultural heritage, and I still love it, but I changed to gallery studies because I'm hoping to open a gallery sometime this year... after I graduate! I love the idea of virtual collections & I love virtual museums (I used to run one).
