Hi Natalia - thanks for getting in touch. Your work sounds very interesting, and I'd be interested to know more about the case studies you're working on; and how you go about measuring audience interest in museum content...

Cool Natalia - I can tell you we get visitation and contact from all over the world for all sorts of reasons, however our core audience is the Australian education sector. Not sure if social media is a strong way to target audiences and communities- Facebook and Twitter seems to be working well for us.

Your digitisation project at the Hermitage sounds great- what a great collection to be working with. Tell me more.

My focus is the presentation of Australian social history through an online museum I have created utilising digitised objects from collections from over the world. The objects act as key pieces of material culture evidence in a thematic narrative of Australian history. The beauty of digitised collections is that visuals and Statements of Significance of various and disparate objects can be brought to together to create not only a virtual exhibition but a virtual museum with online excursions to places and downloadable resources. This is what my Objects through Time project is about. I can email a paper on digitised collections I presented recently at the Museum's Australia National Conference if you're interested.

The EVA conference in London looks great and is just my thing but alas too far away and the Museum won’t cover fares and costs for international conferences. Looks really interesting too! S

Hi Natalia,

Your work on developing cultural links is very interesting. And, in a seggue to creativity, I really like some of your B&W streetscapes as well as the double mirror series.

Rob
