Low set labels at AGNSW

Traditional art gallery labels are small print and set low. Visitors have to bend to read each and every one.

National Portrait Gallery, Canberra - a Savanna building

I recently visited the new Portrait Gallery by the lake in Canberra and was pleased to see that it does well on the eight Savanna design principles.

This slideshow gives an introduction to the building and notes some design features.

Thanks Gillian. Well I'm back in the States, but not home. Lynn and I are spending the better part of a week in St. Louis attending meetings and also the Visitor Studies Association meeting.

We're looking forward to getting home on Saturday!
