For those of you who have been trying to break the mold between the exhibition and media, you should go and see Cravens World at the State University of New York, Buffalo, Art Gallery. Its curator, Prof. Peter Biehl, didn't so much throw out the rule book as completely ignore it. The gallery is filled with a fabulous crystal globe filled with objects from all over the world. These are accessed through a plethora of media interfaces, which are growing, so there is no one dominant narrative in the place. Narratives are constantly in flux, being build, torn down and rebuilt. There are computer games to play and students move in and out of the gallery working on the objects which are "displayed". Fabulous! This is the most important exhibition to see this year.
