While not e-learning as such this is a very interesting site (via Bridget McKenzie's Facebook account!) - FindTheWhy - helping 7-14 year olds tackle the big questions.

As mentioned on my page - have a look at ERGO the new online learning resource set-up by SLV.

Does anyone know of any research done into family or adult learner use of museum websites? Grateful for any suggestions!

I'm looking for examples of in-house online courses and/or orientation for museum workers, especially docents and interpreters. Looking to set-up a self-guided course for docents as an introduction to the content of the museum as well as a place to continue to share and collaborate on exhibit-related research. Does anyone know of examples of such?

Someone may find this interesting regarding digital learning initiatives. The Chicago Public Library, Digital Youth Network and the MacArthur Foundation have just launched a new media project for teens called YouMedia. Here is a brief description: "YouMedia is an innovative 5,500 square foot "out-of-school" physical and virtual environment that addresses how youth socialize and learn. YouMedia will engage young adults in literature-based media projects that promote critical thinking, collaboration, and skill building." You can learn more about it at www.digitallearning.macfound.org.

Yes, YouMedia for sure, fun space to visit as well: Also check out other model programs that have worked with museums, afterschool programs and community centers:

• Intel Computer Clubhouse (100 locations world wide including Museum of Science,Boston and Museo de los Ninos, Bogota Colombia and 3 locations in Chicago) since 1993 They also have an online space called the village: https://www.clubhousevillage.org/
• MIT: Lifelong Kindergarten Group (Innnovative group at MIT led by Mitchel Resnick (former colleague)- See "Sowing the Seeds for a more Creative Society" video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qWF1SJ4LGI&p=0014EDD6D6446197&a...

• Adobe Youth Voices (creative multimedia project examples by youth)

With apologies for cross posting

I've started a discussion in the CICADO group but think it's relevant to this group as well as 'Web teams'.

I'm seeking responses from people involved in getting their collections on the web for education users. If you can contribute please join CICADA group and respond here:
