what will the museum of the future be like?
Dear all,
Thank you for showing interest in this survey. I am Ioanna Panagiotopoulou, a Master student at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam and I am conducting a research on users’ perception about the Google Art Project, an interactive tool launched by Google that allows viewers to virtually travel through 17 of the world’s most famous art museums .
This short survey is a part of the research of my Master Thesis and it aims to explore your opinion about the Google Art Project. Interviews with users about their online experience and analysis of tweets would be the others parts.
That survey will take about 5-6 minutes of your time. Your participation is highly appreciated!
Important note! To participate at this survey you should have visited at least once the Google Art Project.
Thank you in advance for participating!

Having a sticky beak right now :D
Thank you for sharing such an interesting survey!
A couple of tiny bits of feedback regarding the demographic questions; for the type of work question perhaps next time you could include 'casual'? I'm not sure about other countries but in Australia we have a very large casual work force. Also for the social class question, perhaps use 'upper class' instead of 'high class' as it is usually referred to as 'upper class'.
I would be very interested in the results of the survey and also your thesis, it sounds fascinating and very important to have academic research about new media in the museum world. Best wishes for your studies!

Thank you so much for your comments. Are taken under consideration, and highly appreciated!
In this research, I delve deeply into the euphoric propositions about the Google Art Project, positioning the user as central within this visual museum world. I attempt to analyse how users perceive these novel art spaces and what motivates them to access and experience it. Furthermore I will examine via the interviews how they view the relationship between these online museum spaces with material museum worlds. Additionally in order to deconstruct the notions of global audience, I survey-as you saw the survey- where these users come from and if this trule is an internationalizing space for art consumption.
Thank you again for the interest,
it will be great if you can tweet the survey and as there is the main pool of the audience I need, as I am analyzing tweets as well, regarding patterns of informal knowledge mostly.
Thanks,
Best,
Ioanna
