Museum 3

what will the museum of the future be like?

LEM Questionnaire: "KEY TRENDS IN MUSUEMS OF THE FUTURE: Museums in the 21st Century"

“LEM - The Learning Museum” is a network project funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme Grundtvig (2010-2013) which aims to establish a permanent network and webspace for museums and adult educators to participate in a learning society and in a knowledge based Europe.

One of the project’s research groups is looking at museums of the 21st century. In the framework of the LEM working group “NEW TRENDS IN MUSEUMS: Museums in the 21st Century”, the group members have devised a questionnaire open to museums and galleries from around the world. The aim of this questionnaire is to identify new trends in museums.

The LEM research group would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire and list areas of the museum operation that are declining, activities that are ongoing, and any ‘new’ trends emerging in museums. Please down load a copy of the questionnaire at:

Would please let us know when the results are available online?

Thanks.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your reply!  I should have explained that the deadline for completed questionnaires is the 16th Decemeber.  The collected data will be integrated into the research of the Working Group "New Trends in Musuems of the Future".  More information about the Research Group can be accessed by following the link below.

All research findings will then be published online under the Working Group Section of the LEM Project website.  This will happen early in the new year.

Thanks again for taking the time to reply.
