Museum 3

what will the museum of the future be like?

Bringing contemporary issues like childhood obesity, racism, adoption/foster care to children's museums.

I posted this discussion in the Children's Museums group, but would love to hear from others.

The New York Times came out with an article last month about the trend in children's museums to use their exhibits and programs to address contemporary social and health issues like racism and childhood obesity.  I have the article below, and would love to hear some opinions about this.  Should children's museums go into this arena or stay in the realm of informal learning?  Thanks!
