The forum will comprise presentations by John Gibney - Historical Insights Ireland; Theresa Loftus - Monaghan County Museum; Morrigan Mason, Arteffact / Bodelwyddan Castle Trust, Wales; Marguerite O’Molloy, IMMA; Dermot Mulligan - Carlow County Museum; Susan Holland - Crafts Council of Ireland; Cara-Jan O’Callaghan; Bairbre-Ann Harkin - Butler Gallery; Claire Meaney - Waterford Healing Arts Trust; Lorna Elms - National Museum of Ireland, Country Life; and Jenny Papassotiriou - Office of Public Works – Historic Properties.
The afternoon workshop will be run by Arteffact, a project run by four museums in North Wales (UK) aimed at improving the mental health and wellbeing of people experiencing mental distress through creative engagement in museums and galleries, finding inspiration in art and historical artefacts.
